AVS and Friends are gathering for some great community events over the spring and summer of 2024.

First up is our Season Opening PJs ride where we will be supporting The DC Bike Academy and raising funds for their student-athletes to take on @ridelondon & @tulsa_tough this summer through the @dcbikeacademy's Expanding Horizons Campaign. There will be a Bikes, Buddies and Beignets benefit ride on 4/28 leaving from PJs in Bowie. This, as always, is a conversation pace and fellowship ride. How can you help? Spread the word, participate and if you can donate as every dollar helps.

The following opportunities will be life changing for our student athletes and allow them the opportunity to gain both international and national recognition in the cycling landscape. As our student-athletes are also studying film and photography through the DC Bike Academy, this opportunity will continue their development as storytellers to broaden and enhance their perspectives and skill sets.

Finally, this opportunity will increase their knowledge of the world, better improving their potential success rate in a post secondary educational environment.

Ford Ride London (May 23rd-27th, 2024)
- The world's greatest festival of cycling, the 100-mile challenge is one of the UK's most famous challenge rides and gives riders a unique opportunity to cycle on traffic-free roads through some of the most famous streets of London and the picturesque villages and countryside of neighboring St. Francis.
